On the second World Day of the Poor in Rome, Italy, more than 1,500 homeless people were invited to have lunch at the Paul VI Hall in the Vatican. The day was observed on Sunday, Nov. 18, and featured a special mass at St. Peter’s Basilica in the morning. World Day of the Poor began in 2017 at the request of Pope Francis.
