Cambro Manufacturing was thrilled to officially unveil the expansion of its North Carolina Facility in Mebane, NC. The expanded building is now 467,000 sq. ft., nearly double the size of the original facility opened in 2015. Cambro employees from both Huntington Beach, Calif. and Mebane locations and Mebane community leaders were present to celebrate the expansion with a ribbon cutting. Mebane has welcomed Cambro with open arms and has continued to support the brand’s endeavors in their community.
Attendees of the expansion event were treated to a tour of the expanded facility, receiving a rare behind-the-scenes look at how some of Cambro’s most popular products are made. Cambro’s North Carolina Facility primarily manufactures and distributes products to the Eastern US and Canada. In addition to the expansion, the facility as also added a North American training center and a showroom over the course of the last three years.
“The success (in Mebane) has been unbelievable,” said Greg Fischer, Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Cambro. “We have been able to service our customers in the eastern half of the United States far better than we ever could from California. It wouldn’t have been possible without not only the City of Mebane, but the folks of Alamance County, the Chamber (of Commerce), and local businesses. The support we’ve had here has been unbelievable. Without it, we could have never accomplished what we have.”
After the celebration, Cambro enjoyed participating in Mebane’s 31st Annual Dogwood Festival. A Mebane staple since 1988, the weekend kicked off with a golf tournament and 5K run before vendors and entertainment took over its downtown streets. Cambro encouraged festival goers to step right up and spin our big wheel to win a prize.
Cambro looks forward to the continued opportunities in Mebane within the business and the community. Learn more about Cambro Manufacturing at Cambro.com.
