Before and After the Install: OC Rescue Mission Walk-In Cooler

“Before and After the Install” is a new series highlighting shelving installations in a variety of foodservice operations.

BeforeandAfter

Before

The walk-in cooler at the Orange County Rescue Mission measured approximately 10 feet by 8 feet. It had green epoxy-covered wire shelving, which was rusting and corroding in many areas. In addition, there were multiple sections with wasted space, especially in the corners and underneath the condenser, where a small unit was placed.

After

Installers Justin and Kevin from Roadrunner Installation Services replaced the OC Rescue Mission’s current shelving with Camshelving Elements Series, with solid shelf plates along the bottom row and vented shelf plates throughout the rest. The new space features a U-shaped design that better utilizes the corner spaces and area under the condenser. The adjustable shelves create more usable space for small or large items.

Overall, the foodservice staff at the OC Rescue Mission is extremely happy with their new shelving.
