Cambro’s Dessert Glasses: Mini Flavor Explosions at Your Holiday Events

To help us count the ways our Mini Dessert Glasses can be used for the holidays, we went to our panel of Cambro Elite Caterers around the country and even across the pond to bring you their brilliant ideas. Our first caterer is Blue Plate Catering, a phenomenal operation headed by talented Executive Chef Paul Larson. Chef Paul is a very active member on the Culinary Council of the International Caterers Association where he lectures, presents and demonstrates innovative ideas to caterers from around the world. He is the National ICA CATIE Award Winner, Chef of the Year 2014, as well as a member of the Culinary Council for Leading Caterers of America. Blue Plate serves the Chicago area and specializes in customized catering which highlights the bounties of fresh seasonal ingredients. Stemming from the organization’s innovation and creativity, Blue Plate has garnered countless national awards—5 to be exact, for 2015 alone, not just for their excellence in cuisine but for being one of the “101 Best and Brightest” Companies to Work For. Most impressive.

Since Blue Plate is always looking for new and exciting ways to service their customers, they were excited to try Cambro’s Dessert Glasses. Chef Paul found them to be “a great way to present mini cakes, pies, custards and ice creams to name a few. The best thing about the glasses is their flexibility between sweet and savory uses. The quality is great and they actually look like a glass product when displayed on a buffet.”

Blue Plate is certainly lucky to have award-winning Pastry Chef Ashley Harriger on board, taking the prize for “2015 International Caterers Association CATIE Award for Best Dessert.” Look at the amazing creations she came up with!
