Let’s Get Baked Artisan Desserts began as a heartfelt experiment that eventually blossomed into a thriving business thanks to a lot of hard work. Cheyenne Price began her journey into the foodservice industry with a simple birthday cake for her daughter, which she calls a “giant disaster.” However, the experience awakened a new passion in her that inspired her to watch countless hours of video and even take courses with internationally known artists. In addition to honing her skills, Price credits her daughters’ help with packaging, zesting, marketing, companionship and support as a major reason Let’s Get Baked Artisan Desserts is so successful today.
What inspired you to get into foodservice?
“After attempting to make my daughter’s 3rd birthday cake, I fell in love with the way baking made us feel (both the birthday girl & myself), even though it wasn’t a masterpiece at the time!”
What do you love about your business?
“I love that I have the firsthand opportunity to help others spread love and kindness by way of cookies! Most of our products are purchased as gifts to share with others. Have a friend who is feeling down? Cookies! Celebrating a win? Also, cookies! The answer is always cookies.”
What’s the most interesting thing to happen to your business?
“I’d have to say the coolest thing to happen to our business was being recognized by a few large companies, in and outside of our area, to provide grazing boards for their events! I’m a small-town girl, so that’s a huge deal for us!”
What is the biggest challenge you’ve had to overcome?
“Space! In the last 12 months our sales have increased nearly 300%, and while I am SO thankful, it happened pretty quickly. I now have the opportunity to build Let’s Get Baked into the little bakery I always dreamed it would be!”
Which Cambro products help make your business work?
“GoBoxes! (I’m saying it louder for the people in the back.) It keeps our cookies from melting in the summer heat, super lightweight and extremely durable! Side note for the non-believers: My GoBox has been hit with a vehicle at 20+ mph and lived to tell the tale. I’m not sure what more you can ask for!”
