Catering allows for a different type of creativity and direct connection with guests that traditional restaurants aren’t afforded.

What inspired you to get into foodservice?
“I have always been curious about things that are around us, scents, colors, flavors and textures. That’s why ever since I was a kid, I was crafting things and doing things with my hands. Later on, I realized I couldn’t be at an office or doing anything that didn’t involve adrenaline, working with my hands and having people around! Cooking for others has become my passion and I couldn’t see myself doing anything else.”
What do you love about your business?
“I do private dining and small catering for many clients, and as you can imagine I meet a lot of people at every event. Being able to do what I like and to see others experiencing our food first hand is something I can’t describe. The way I see it is that clients not only keep the business profitable for me and all our employees but also sponsor and support creativity in many different ways.”
What’s the most interesting thing to happen to your business?
“Every event is different. The feel, the ambience, the people, the celebration, the location and everything else changes completely from one day to the other. We have done events like yacht parties, bachelorettes and even fantasy themed dinners for clients on the film industry. As you can imagine, we have seen it all! And we love that, monotony is not a thing for us, our days are always new and always a lot of fun.”
What is the biggest challenge you’ve had to overcome?
“Exposing the business has always been the most challenging part of the business, and with today’s world I’m sure most businesses struggle with this. In our case, it has been to reach people who are looking for something different, to celebrate in a different way than going to a restaurant or cooking at home.
With time, we have had many people come recommended by a friend or because they were at one of the events and liked what we do. This showed us how important it is to make customer satisfaction a priority, always give the best service we can and keep improving and innovating with everything we do.”
