Cambro introduces the first NSF listed nonrusting pegboard storage system for commercial kitchens. Neatly hang frequently used small items like lids, drain shelves, tongs, spoons, ladles, or spatulas in order to free up valuable shelving space. Constructed from 1/4″ thick plastic and a textured black matte finish, the Camshelving® Pegboard is designed to withstand rigorous use in any foodservice operation.
The Camshelving Pegboard was inspired by Aussie Grill by Outback’s necessity for more storage. Zullo had previously seen grid boards and asked his Cambro rep if there was something that could be fixed to the side of the preexisting Camshelving in their Tampa Bay location. The Camshelving Pegboard was developed and sent to Zullo for testing.
“We were challenged with space because our footprint was so much smaller than we’re used to in the casual dining business. We started going up instead of sideways. By installing the pegboard, our lids, utensils and inserts are using a drip-dry system, giving us more storage space on our Camshelving,” said Jeffrey Zullo, Operations Manager for Aussie Grill by Outback & Bloomin’ Brands International.
Adding a Camshelving Pegboard to the side of your units can eliminate unsanitary storage and expose valuable shelf space. Constructed with heavy-duty, commercial grade ABS plastic and stainless-steel hardware, the Camshelving Pegboard will never dent, bend, flake, rust or corrode.
“I really like the cleanability. It’s the plastic material that really helps; I think that’s a great benefit to the product. Keeping it clean is very easy versus metal, which can rust,” said Zullo.
