Before we start with the jokes, let’s admire Becky Berger’s frozen yogurt store name for being memorable and certainly standing out. And from the sounds of it, the yogurt and goodies dished up by Becky stand up to the name!
The desire to have a frozen yogurt shop close to home is a great reason to get into business – supply and demand! And you know you’ve made a good decision when the thing you love most about your business is, as Becky states, “the impact we have on our community and local organizations.”
That’s not just talk – check out Mama Cares and you can see the dedication to community, other local Wisconsin businesses and the environment.
As she puts it:
When I decided to open Yo Mama!, I wanted to create a fun place. A place in Wauwatosa to enjoy a healthy treat (for a change). A place to bring your kids (we have four) or to hang out after school. And a place to even post your own mama-ism on our wall (yes, you’ve got one). Why? Because that’s the way mama would’ve wanted it.
And the biggest business challenge Becky overcame?
“Going from not knowing a thing about operating a business, to opening and operating 3 stores in 2 years!”
And as you can see, Cambro containers are a key ingredient in helping Yo Mama! succeed.
We wish Becky and the whole fun team at Yo Mama continued success and we look forward to seeing them expand and grow. As the featured foodservice business of the week, she will receive a storage container gift pack which will surely be put to good use.
