Recipe: Smoked Beef Jerky

Throw out the stale bag of beef jerky that’s in the pantry, Grillmaster Gary Welch has a Smoked Beef Jerky recipe that you’ll want to make every week.

4 qt. CamSquare FreshPro and Seal Cover

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup soya sauce
  • 3/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 3/4 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 3 tablespoons smoked honey
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 4 to 5 tablespoons of jerky rub, or seasonings of your choice
  • 3 to 4 lbs. semi-frozen lean beef (inside beef round is used in the video)

Instructions

  1. Mix sauces, honey, brown sugar and jerky rub in a Cambro FreshPro container.
  2. Thinly slice beef against the grain and add to marinade; mix thoroughly so that beef is covered in marinade.
  3. Cover container with Seal Cover and marinate 24 hours or overnight.
  4. Pat every piece of meat with paper towel and lay on drying rack.
  5. Smoke at 180°F degrees until dehydrated, 3 to 4 hours.
  6. Cool jerky completely and store in a Cambro container to maintain freshness.
