As 2025 comes to a close, we are reminded of what we have accomplished this year and what we hope to achieve in 2026. One of our goals at Cambro is to keep our customers and future customers informed, and we do this through several mediums such as the Cambro Blog, social media platforms, our website, and newsletter, In the Kitchen with Cambro.
Our blog is a platform where we highlight our new and existing products, share how Cambro helps non-profits, as well as showcase our customers in our “Business of the Week” articles.

Cliff’s Local Market is a third-generation, family-run convenience store chain in Upstate New York that’s rewriting expectations about c-store dining. For over 60 years, Cliff’s has grown from a single location to a chain of 22 stores, building a loyal following by serving up a variety of unique and classic offerings. “We’re constantly evolving, pulling menu items that don’t work, trying new ones that do,” said Derek Thurston, Director of Foodservice Operations. “At the end of the day, it’s about keeping it interesting and fresh for our guests.”
When Mike Genco, Director of Food and Nutritional Services at AdventHealth Ocala in Ocala, Fla., had the opportunity to make changes to the back of house, he made a list that included LED lighting, floors, table space, and shelving. Genco decided to completely redo their storeroom with Camshelving® Elements XTRA High Density Storage System for three key reasons: Increased space; no shelving covers; and low maintenance. Genco believes in equipping teams with the right tools and following through with your word in order to foster a positive culture.
In 2024, Cambro broke ground on a 380,000-square-foot distribution facility in Mebane, North Carolina, nearly doubling their manufacturing and distribution space in the city. This state-of-the-art space is designed to support Cambro’s continued growth and to ensure faster, more efficient service for our customers across the East Coast and beyond.
After 25 years of providing the foodservice industry with rust-free Camshelving®, Cambro debuted its newest innovation: Camshelving Elevation Series Wall Shelving. This vertical storage system will never rust, corrode, peel, or dent for the lifetime of your business and is designed with durable plastic components. With 20-plus years in K–12 foodservice and prior hands-on experience specifying Cambro shelving in multiple districts, Pam Haupt knows this firsthand. She led wall-shelving upgrades at Columbia Heights Public Schools to boost organization and efficiency across tight storage rooms.
When Parker Cook and his wife launched a sourdough pizza trailer back in 2022, they didn’t expect it would quickly blossom into the popular microbakery, Basil & Bloom. With 146K followers on Instagram, it’s evident that the sourdough bread-making craze is here to stay. Cook also teaches online, and his clear, approachable style of teaching took off, simplifying sourdough techniques and challenging popular myths like maintaining unnecessarily large starters or insisting on cold fermentation. “I never saw myself as a teacher,” Cook admits, “but when people kept coming back and telling me my methods made sense, it gave me the confidence to keep going.”
In every bustling kitchen, the right tool can make all the difference, especially when it comes to food storage containers. Cambro’s FreshPro CamRounds™ bring round‑container versatility to your operation, making batter mixing, sauce pouring, and ingredient preservation effortless, all while maximizing space. Bosscat Kitchen & Libations in Irvine, CA, needed a quick fix to solve the growing problem of sagging wire shelves, missing sleeves, and the occasional sauce crashing to the floor, mostly due to rusty shelving. Instead of tolerating rusty wire racks, the crew upgraded the entire walk-in with Camshelving® Elements XTRA Series. Two bulky speed racks were replaced with the Universal Storage Rack. The payoff was extra capacity: more sheet pans, more food pans, all housed where the speed racks used to stand. “They never budge, and it always looks neat,” said Peter Petro, director of culinary.
From a name that means a warm Vietnamese “Hey you,” Anh Ơi Bake Shop in Seattle bakes cookies that taste like belonging. Founder, Vince Vu, bakes cookies with flavors like Strawberry Corn Milk, Vietnamese Coffee & White Chocolate, and Fried Banana. “At my first popup, I baked 130 cookies thinking I’d have tons of leftovers. Instead, I sold out in under two hours. People lined up not just to buy, but to tell me their own food memories. People even drove nearly two hours across the city because they’d heard “the banana cookie tastes like childhood.” That’s when I knew AO was bigger than me.”
You may have stumbled upon Michefresca King at one of the many food festivals they’ve participated in across the US. They are hard to miss with their kaleidoscope of bright, ice-cold aguas frescas lined up in clear containers with bold labels. This family business, located in Long Beach, CA, has been pouring fresh flavors for 30-plus years, with the current owner carrying the torch for the last dozen. “We went viral for having many different drink flavors,” said owner, Guilver Lopez. With over 100,000 social media followers, Michefresca King gets its daily dose of popularity and virality.
When it comes to commercial kitchen design, every detail matters. From the layout of the workspace to the equipment that is selected, these decisions impact efficiency, safety, and overall success. For Corrie Jonker, a seasoned Commercial Kitchen Design Consultant and founder of Blueprint Commercial Kitchen Design, Camshelving is always her go-to recommendation for storage solutions. “I was an early adopter of Cambro shelving after our first introduction to the system,” said Jonker. “The product quality, durability and flexibility to suit client needs are most definitely my main reasons for choosing Cambro each and every time.”
