Say what you will about BBQ guys but one thing you can’t say is that they aren’t the most creative when it comes to naming a business.
Case in point, our featured business of the week, Butt Naked BBQ. This outfit doesn’t rest on its hind quarters when it comes to putting out BBQ-style, full service off-site catering in the New Jersey area. When you’re part of a family owned butcher shop in Brooklyn, NY becoming a BBQ Chef was not a surprise for Pitmaster Ron Tulotta.
Oh, and did we mention the butcher shop has been around since 1876 – that is impressive.
What does Chef Ron like best about his business?
“Very short answer… I love when people smile when they eat my food.”
What was the most interesting thing to happen to Butt Naked BBQ?
“The business started as an idea one night in the back yard of a friend while I was working my magic at the BBQ. That night I went home and I started a Facebook page. The following day I had 4 inquiries which lead to booking 4 parties on the birthday of my business.”
The biggest business challenge Ron has overcome?
“Not having money to start it up. But by having a great product and support from family and friends I was able to acquire business which allowed me to save money to start buying equipment.”
What Cambro products help Butt Naked BBQ keep their employees clothed and warm (ie. Keep business going)?
“Non Electric food transport carts are the MOST important piece of equipment we use. Soon we are going to try the Electric transport carts. The next item for me is the Table Top Food Bar for my raw bars that are a huge hit.
I believe that your products are by far the most superior on the market.”
Continued success to Ron and all the folks at Butt Naked BBQ – we hope to see them outfitted in Cambro products for at least 100 years! As the featured foodservice business of the week, he will receive a storage container gift pack.
