After a few years, every foodservice business realizes they need to upgrade some of their equipment. When Alex Sherry, owner of Majka Pizza, won $10,000 worth of Cambro products in collaboration with Trimark USA, he was able to make significant improvements to the storage equipment they’d been using since he and his wife, Chutharat Sae Tong, opened their restaurant in 2020.
“I was really happy. We use a lot of Cambro stuff and we could always use more."
1. Shelving

Previously, the walk-in coolers at Majka were outfitted with wire shelving. With his winnings, Sherry was able to switch both coolers and a storage area to rust and corrosion-free Camshelving® Basics Plus Series.
“[Wire shelving] can rust; you can’t clean them very well,” said Sherry. “The Cambro [shelving units] are adjustable to fit your walk-in and you can take out the [shelf plates] to clean. It’s just a lot better.”
Not only is Sherry able to clean his shelving easier and more thoroughly, but Camshelving allowed him to increase their storage capabilities thanks to its space efficient design.
“We have a lot more room because of the shared posts and the corners. Now we’re able to use the corners and we have a significant more amount of storage space,” said Sherry.
2. Dough Boxes
Majka offers a unique pizza menu that only includes a Pizza of Day, and the option of classic cheese, pepperoni or sausage every day. Considering most people come for the pizza, it is imperative to keep their dough stored properly.
“[Previously,] we used sheet pans in a speed rack with a cover on top, which took up a lot of room in the walk-in,” said Sherry.
Since adopting Cambro Poly Dough Boxes, Sherry was able to save room in his walk-in and increase the quality of their dough.
“The dough boxes stack really well and they keep the dough really nice—they’re a lot better. I actually just ordered more because they’re so much better,” said Sherry.
3. Food Boxes
Sherry has been storing produce in bus tubs, which is safer than storing it in the cardboard it arrives in, but can be a challenge when keeping track of inventory. When given the opportunity, he decided to finally try our Camwear® Food Boxes instead.
“They’re clear so you can see everything you have. It makes seeing what you have in stock really easy; that type of food boxes just keep food really, really fresh,” said Sherry. “I never really bought the food boxes, probably because they’re kind of expensive, but to be honest they’re worth it after using them.”
4. Insulated Transport Units
Sherry chose a top loading Ultra Pan Carrier and a half size Cam GoBox® with carrying strap for two very different insulating purposes.
Ultra Pan Carrier: If Sherry used a food pan to hold raw fish over ice, it would start melting in the walk-in. Using the UPC, he is able to keep the ice frozen and the fish at the right temperature until they’re ready to use it.
“It keeps everything extremely cold and at the right temperature,” said Sherry.
Cam GoBox: At Majka, they make their own ice cream. Using the Cam GoBox, they’re able to safely transport ice cream between their two locations. The Cam GoBox is made of lightweight yet extremely durable expanded polypropylene, which makes it ideal for holding and transporting food at safe temperatures.
Look at the pain points of your operation to identify which equipment could most benefit from an upgrade—even a small change can make a big impact.
